জানে না, প্রভাত-রবিরে সে তার
      প্রাণের অর্ঘ্যদান।
          ফুল ফুটে বনমাঝে--
সেই তো তাহার পূজানিবেদন
      আপনি সে জানে না যে।

বাতাসে নিবিলে দীপ
      দেখা যায় তারা,
আঁধারেও পাই তবে
      পথের কিনারা।
সুখ-অবসানে আসে
      সম্ভোগের সীমা,
দুঃখ তবে এনে দেয়
      শান্তির মহিমা।
